Here's a great picture of the family in Chile that Harrison and I stayed with. The Diaz Family. Belen, Consuelo, Me, Harrison, Andrea, Cote, Isi and Miguel. We had such a wonderful time with them. This is taken on our last night in Santiago before dinner. We crammed into one car for the four hour drive back to Chillan the next morning. Whoo boy talk about sardines!

Thank you so much to my brilliant little sister for helping me get set up on my new computer. The quick and efficient short cuts on a mac are now at my beck and call. This cute little blog and the pictures would not be on a real web site without all her help! just getting blog started and testing how to post pictures. I went crazy right before I went on a great trip to Chile and bought myself a new ibook. I love it! Best compulsive decision I ever made. I live in a duplex kind of shared house and recently discovered that I can use the wireless internet for free! Thanks neighbors.

Thursday morning, July 21st, the Scarlet Tree caught on fire from old wiring in the attic. I'd worked there for over three years and was shocked to find out about this when I was still on vacation in Chile. It's very weird, but I had a premonition that something bad was going to eventually happen to the Tree. I loved being there and don't know what's going to happen to it. Hopefully someone who loved the place will want to pump in the money to fix it up. S.P. used to call it "The Burning Bush". How prophetic!
